A bi-annual concert held in Amory, MS that attracts some of entertainment's biggest and brightest stars. Stars Over Mississippi is a fundraiser to help deserving Mississippi students attend college. This year, a GALA event was held on the evening of October 1st and the concert was performed on the afternoon of October 2nd, 2004. Joye tells us that both events were a sellout, with approximately 1,000 attending the Gala and 10,000 at the concert. To quote Joye, "we call that overwhelming in a town the size of ours...with a population of about 8000". I think we would have to agree. GUY HOVIS, Joye's brother, was in the all-star line-up!! |
